Hair transplant company, Don’t Go Bald, required our branding services to develop a positive visual identity for their company. Their brand needed to overcome the stigma surrounding the procedure and deliver a bold, confident message that customers could trust.
The Challenge: Flip the Standard Industry Perception
Don’t Go Bald wanted their brand to be the antithesis to the usual shame and secrecy surrounding hair transplants. Our team needed to deliver a powerful, positive message, using all the designs techniques and experience at our disposal. As with all our branding projects, the client required adaptable, long-lasting designs.
Our Solution: Positivity from Every Angle
Don’t Go Bald’s logo had to clearly convey what they did and immediately establish a positive association with the brand. We began experimenting with letterforms and smiling faces and took inspiration from the shape of a hair follicle. The final ‘Happy Hair’ logo incorporated two key elements, the hairline and a smile. Bold, solid and recognisable, the logo could be used with multiple colour variations to add further visual interest to the brand.
Continuing the theme of directly equating the product with a smile, we combined the logo with photographs of smiling customers to create a strong brand image. Alongside these images we included phrases such as ‘See our customer’s smiles’ and ‘Regrow your confidence’, to further instil trust in the brand. The reassuring, upbeat tone of voice and phraseology is a consistent feature of the brand. We used Halcyon Regular and Semibold for the typography as it was imperative for all text to be clear and legible for a surgical procedure brand.
We opted for a vibrant colour scheme which fit perfectly with the wider company mission to remove the stigma surrounding hair transplant procedures. The bright colour palette paired well with the imagery of happy customers and matching bold messaging.
Our designs transferred well across all devices and mediums, with mock-ups of business cards and interactive adverts showcasing the versatility of the new brand design.
