Our job was to reimagine the brand and create a distinctive visual identity for Skirting Online’s next chapter.
The Challenge: Creating A Versatile & Distinctive Brand
With few competitors making waves in the industry, it was up to us and Skirting Online to pave the way. We wanted a visual design which tied in with the industry but also delivered a stylish and contemporary finish. Our design needed to be versatile and scalable for future use and provide a long-term solution that wouldn’t date.
Our Solution: Clever Minimalist Designs
We began by brainstorming ideas linked to the product itself, imagining a birds-eye view of a skirting board or architrave, which morphed into several mock-ups of abstract shapes. The final logo mirrors the meeting of a skirting board in the corner of a room and resembles architrave. We used thick lines and symmetry to create a bold, progressive logomark that could be used in various settings.
Our client requested mint green in the colour palette. With this as our focal point, we chose complementary colours to create a distinctive, elegant colour scheme. Alongside the striking mint, we opted for a slick grey and lighter mint shade for a hint of subtlety. We designed the logo for grey, mint, and white backgrounds, again providing multiple options for future use and adding visual variety to the brand.
For the brand typeface, we chose Raleway; a clear, professional font it ensures maximum legibility at all times. We delivered complete brand guidelines to inform all future branding and make sure a consistent visual identity was maintained long-term.

Our mock-up items, including business cards, sample boxes, clothing and various digital examples, made it easy for them to visualise their new brand and its long-term potential.
