Marketing

Digital marketing keeps evolving – and so do we

We live in a digital world. So if you’re serious about growing your business you simply can’t afford to be without digital marketing. Every year, more strategies and techniques come into play as businesses compete for visibility in the crowded sphere of the internet. With the support of KIJO’s marketing experts, you can make sure you’re up there with the best of them.

SEO

When someone searches for your product or service online, you want them to find YOU. If your website doesn’t appear on the first page of search results for your specialist area, you’re closing the door to a big chunk of your potential customer base.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is what we do to boost your website to the top of organic (non-paid) search results. It can all seem a bit mystical – but we promise there’s no wizardry involved! It’s simply about knowing what search engines are looking for and making sure they find it within your site.

We can help improve your performance in local search and sector-specific search – resulting in not only more visitors to your site, but better quality visitors who are more likely buy your product or service. Using knowledge of how search engines work, our SEO gurus will employ a combination of techniques including content creation, email marketing, HTML optimisation, split testing, heat mapping and outreach to drive business for your company.

When it comes to SEO, we’re relentless. We don’t just try to get your business on the first page of search results – we aim for the top spot.

PPC

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is used to drive traffic to your site by paying for ads to appear on search engines against specific key words and phrases. As the name suggests, you pay each time your advert is clicked on.

PPC can be extremely helpful in judging how effective your internet marketing really is. It’s also a great way of getting your brand above the rest in your specialised field and avoiding the scrabble to the top of the search results.

PPC works by bidding for the keywords you want your site to appear next to when they’re searched for online. The cost can vary depending on competition, and for the uninitiated it can seem like a minefield! That’s where having expert help – like the marketing brains at KIJO – can come in handy. We can drill down the key words and phrases that will have the most impact for your business and advise on how to get the best return for your investment.

Social media

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest….and hundreds more. Where there is social media, there are people – and that means business. Social media marketing is about tapping into the potential of these online spaces to get people talking about your company.

Just about everyone uses social media these days – so whatever field you’re in there’s an audience out there ready and waiting to discover your business. It’s a wide-reaching and cost-effective way to spread the word about what you do – and harness the power of happy customers and social influencers.

KIJO’s marketing experts are a sociable lot – so we’re clued up on all the hottest social media platforms. There are various ways to crack the social media market and we’ve tried and tested all of them over the last few years. We can help with creating shareable content such as blogs, articles, videos & animation, as well as advising the best paid advertising strategies for your goals. Plus knowing which platforms work best for your industry means we can help you get the conversation started.

Content marketing

The world is made up of content – every piece of information we consume is a form of content. Every human being on the planet has been interacting with content marketing throughout their lives via television, radio, newspapers and magazines. But now the way we consume content has changed – and it’s rapidly evolving.

Content marketing as a term has become more and more popular over recent years as the internet grows. Nowadays it’s a recognised marketing technique that involves creating content which is useful, interesting and desirable to your target audience – and distributing it online to drive engagement, and ultimately profit, for your brand.

You’ve probably heard the term ‘content is king’. That’s because content marketing can have a phenomenal impact for online businesses. KIJO can help you find out the type of content your audience is interested in, create engaging content for you and then work on getting this content in front of your customers.

Influencer marketing

Have you ever heard of the Kardashians? If not, good for you. If you have, you’ll know that the Kardashians have made an obscene amount of money from promoting their own and 3rd party products to their fans and followers. This is influencer marketing in its most extreme form.

The online world has allowed a whole army of influencers to be able to promote products and services to their large or niche audiences.  These influencers either promote goods or services they are selling themselves or they are paid by 3rd party companies to promote products on their behalf.

No matter the size or specialism of the target market, every product has the potential for an influencer with its field. KIJO can help you reach and engage your industry influencers so that they get on board with your product and shout about it to their followers.

A recent Forbes article has found that 84% of marketers plan on executing at least one influencer marketing campaign during the next 12 months. Don’t get left behind!

Case Study- My Green Clean

The Problem

My Green Clean are a domestic and commercial cleaning company based in Birmingham. As a new company their aim was to significantly boost local enquiries and in turn branch out to Birmingham and beyond. With their goal of 100% customer satisfaction and OCD approach to cleaning it was our job to make this happen and therefore put My Green Clean on the local cleaning spectrum.

Our Approach

Before we could advance with our local optimisation efforts, it was essential for us to make sure all elements of the website were fully optimised for SEO (on site SEO). Factors such as meta titles, meta descriptions and general completion of the website were at the forefront of the job in hand. This is an important part of the campaign as it is the fundamentals of SEO which can set your website up to be successfully. If done correctly of course.

Now that we had a website which was fully functional and optimised for Search Engine Optimisation, we had to decide on how we could achieve the main goal of the campaign, which was to significantly increase local enquiries. The route we opted for was to introduce micro area landing pages, a technique we have used successfully in previous local SEO campaigns. These pages were introduced to target specific local keywords.

The next part of the process was to decide the keywords to target. For this task we employed our keyword research techniques that have been created over many previous local campaigns. With a group of targeted keywords in hand our main focus was now on creating bespoke landing pages which would successfully rank. In order to optimise on-page conversions, the content we produced was both bespoke & unique to the page.

In order to maintain our local SERP rankings, a flagship piece of content was required. By utilizing  previously proven outreach efforts we were able to secure multiple high quality and relatable backlinks.

The Results

In 2 months of the running the local SEO campaign we have seen tremendous results. My Green Clean are already receiving 30 qualified enquiries each month for our efforts! This stems from the continued success with regards of their targeted keyword rankings. 31 out of 36 tracked keywords already feature on the first page of Google. For such a small campaign budget, the results we have seen have been very satisfying. We look forward to the potential of this campaign as the aim of dominating Birmingham is only a few months away.
