The Challenge: Deliver an Engaging Platform for Unique Products
Spark’s products, unavailable anywhere else in the UK, provide unique solutions to messy kitchen problems. Not only did our client need a fully functional eCommerce platform, but their innovative products required some explaining. We needed to succinctly show customers why these products were so useful and demonstrate how to use them.
Our Solution: Vibrant Branding & Visual Product Guides
We opted for a bright, contrasting colour palette that suited the youthful, fresh feel of the brand and paired well with the kitchen utensil industry. Throughout the site, we used flowing lines to reflect the smooth customer journey, avoiding any sharp angles that could make the brand appear dated or overly clinical.
Eye-catching graphics, high-quality photography and video demonstrations effectively showcased the ease of use and benefits of each product. Contrasting images of people cooking with and without the product showed how effective they were at avoiding unnecessary mess in the kitchen. Visual designs were accompanied with short explanations written in Spark’s upbeat brand tone of voice.
As with any new product, it was important to display all of the technical information without overloading the page or boring the user. We made excellent use of available screen-space and brand tone of voice on each product page to explain care instructions, uses in the kitchen and further information.
