How We Positioned Join Talent 
as a Market Leader in Recruitment Outsourcing

Join Talent is a talent acquisition as a service and embedded recruitment company. They businesses build and scale internal hiring teams and processes. Their services span Agile RPO, Embedded Talent Solutions, consulting and AI-powered sourcing, supporting organisations across both the UK and US.

KIJO was tasked with designing and developing a market-leading website that clearly communicates Join Talent’s proposition, elevates the brand above competitors, and positions the business as a forward-thinking authority in the recruitment outsourcing space.

Project Objectives

This meant the KIJO team needed to create a clear, authoritative and conversion-focused website that would:

  • Clearly articulate Join Talent’s service offering in a way that is easy to understand
  • Build trust and credibility in a competitive recruitment outsourcing market
  • Differentiate the brand from their competitors
  • Guide users intuitively towards enquiry and conversation
  • Be fully optimised for SEO, performance and scalability
  • Use geo-location tracking to serve tailored UK or US content
  • Support Join Talent’s long-term growth strategy

Design wise, the site needed to feel premium, human and forward-thinking, whilst remaining practical and user-focused.

Discovery & Structure

For the booking system, KIJO liaised and worked with Semble’s API team to fully understand the platform’s capabilities and limitations. We agreed on a strategy to direct users to the Semble booking platform. This meant we needed to optimise the Calls to Action (CTAs) and their placements throughout the site. These CTAs would encourage users to click through to Semble and book the services the clinic offered.

The booking CTAs were placed:

  • Prominently in the navigation bar for immediate access.
  • In the patient journey and pricing sections to encourage action at critical decision points.
  • At the base of every page to catch users who had not yet converted.

We also ensured that the language the CTAs used inspired action in the user. They were written by our copywriter to be direct, clear, and benefit-driven. For example, the one at the base of the page reads “Your Future Health Starts Here. Request Your Consultation.”

By focusing on optimising the CTAs and their placements, KIJO successfully streamlined the user journey and, in turn, aided maximum conversions.

Initial Challenges Identified

The initial design direction leaned towards a more experimental and visually complex layout. Through testing and feedback, it became clear that this approach was reducing clarity and usability. We were going to have to work together to simplify the structure but still allow for the animation and illustrations planned to play a central role in the site’s storytelling.

This exploratory phase was also critical in aligning on a visual direction that felt both confident and purposeful. It was going to be a challenge to find and define a visual style that stayed true to Join Talent’s existing brand guidelines whilst still feeling distinctive, engaging and premium.

Designing with Motion at the Core

However, with the direction agreed, we then set to work. Each section of the site was designed and animated simultaneously, allowing motion to be considered at the same time as layout and content as opposed to being added afterwards which could have left the site feeling disjointed.

This approach ensured:

  • Animations supported meaning, not decoration
  • Sections flowed naturally into one another
  • Users were guided through the narrative at a controlled pace

Using Jitter instead of, say, the popular Abode After Effects allowed for faster iteration, clearer feedback, and quicker decision-making. This strengthened the collaboration throughout the project.

Joint Talent Typography

Bespoke Animation & Interactive Storytelling

Animation was a core part of the Join Talent experience and was treated as a strategic design layer. To achieve this, KIJO implemented GSAP (GreenSock Animation Platform) to deliver highly controlled, scroll-triggered animations that respond directly to user behaviour. This allowed motion to be tied precisely to scroll position, guiding users through the site at a considered pace and reinforcing content hierarchy as they moved through each section.

GSAP’s timeline-based sequencing enabled the team to choreograph complex, multi-element animations with precision. Careful control over easing and timing ensured every transition felt smooth, intentional and premium, whilst performance optimisation ensured animations enhanced the experience without negatively impacting page load or responsiveness.

To complement the GSAP-driven interactions, Lottie animations were used throughout the site to explain more complex ideas in a clear and accessible way. These lightweight, scalable vector animations load quickly and remain crisp at any screen size, making them ideal for both desktop and mobile experiences. Integrated with play-on-scroll behaviour, the Lottie animations respond naturally to user interaction, reinforcing key messages at the moment users encounter them.

Key Animation Moments

In our design, the experience begins in the hero section, where a dynamic typographic animation introduces the Join Talent proposition. The considered build sequence immediately establishes tone and confidence, drawing users into the narrative from the very first interaction.

The Scroll Journey

As users scroll, the team section features a grid transformation that starts with a single portrait before expanding into a full team view. This animation visually reinforces Join Talent’s people-first approach, demonstrating how individual expertise scales into collective impact.

The Orbital Team Animation
A standout moment within the site is the orbital team animation, where team members are positioned around concentric circles orbiting the Join Talent brand mark. This creates a distinctive visual metaphor for how talent ecosystems are connected, positioning Join Talent as the central hub that brings people together.

The Dynamic Venn Diagram

In the Agile RPO section, a Venn diagram animation is used to simplify a complex service model. As users scroll, the diagram builds to show the intersection between client, candidate and Join Talent, clearly illustrating the company’s role as the connecting force within the recruitment process.

Scroll-Triggered Service Offerings

Each service offering is introduced through its own scroll-triggered reveal, allowing content to appear progressively rather than all at once. This approach reduces cognitive load and helps users absorb information more naturally as they navigate the site.

Bespoke Lottie Icon System

Throughout the experience, a bespoke Lottie icon system adds subtle moments of motion and polish. These small details reinforce consistency, attention to detail and craft, contributing to a cohesive and refined overall experience.

UX, Conversion & SEO Strategy

From the outset, the site was designed to make a complex service offering feel easy to understand. Recruitment outsourcing can be abstract and difficult to differentiate, so a key focus was reducing cognitive load and helping users quickly grasp what Join Talent does, how they do it, and why it matters.

Content and interaction were carefully structured to guide users through the story in a logical sequence, using motion to control pacing and emphasis rather than relying on large blocks of text. Animations draw attention to key messages at the right moment, reinforce visual hierarchy and help users absorb information gradually, ensuring they feel informed before being prompted to take action.

Clear calls to action, consistent navigation patterns and well-defined content sections mean users are never left wondering what to do next. Whether exploring services or learning about Join Talent’s approach, the experience naturally leads them towards starting a conversation.

SEO & Geo-Location
Like the design’s animations, search visibility was also built into the foundations of the site, not added as an afterthought. Pages were structured around real search intent, with clear service-led hierarchies that support both user understanding and organic discovery. Performance optimisation was prioritised throughout development, ensuring fast load times and a smooth experience that supports search rankings as well as usability.

To support Join Talent’s international presence, geo-location tracking was implemented to intelligently direct users to either the UK or US version of the site. This ensures messaging, terminology and content feel relevant to each audience, improving engagement and conversion whilst strengthening organic visibility in both markets.

Insight Downloads & HubSpot
Integration
Beyond generating enquiries, the website was designed to support Join Talent’s content-led growth strategy through gated insight downloads and white papers. A bespoke data capture form was built to allow users to access high-value content whilst providing Join Talent with meaningful audience insights.

The form experience was intentionally kept lightweight and unobtrusive, ensuring it felt like a fair value exchange rather than a barrier. Clear messaging around what users would receive helped encourage completion, whilst the overall design remained consistent with the site’s clean, confident tone.

From a technical perspective, the form was fully integrated with HubSpot, allowing submissions to feed directly into Join Talent’s CRM. This enables better tracking of engagement, smarter segmentation of leads, and more informed follow-up activity based on user interests. Rather than treating content downloads as isolated interactions, the integration turns them into the start of an ongoing conversation.

This approach allows Join Talent to build a growing hub of insights and thought leadership content, whilst laying the foundations for more personalised marketing and deeper relationships with their audience over time.

The Results

The combination of clear structure, purposeful motion and strong storytelling delivered measurable impact.

On launch, its Google Lighthouse scores indicated over 90 in all categories. Performance was rated at 99, accessibility at 98, 92 for SEO, and best practices at 100. These results indicate that the site feels rich and dynamic without feeling heavy or slow, the site is verifiably clear and accessible (which people-focused industries like recruitment value enormously), and as well as being well-designed, the site is also well engineered.

Achieving over 90 across all Lighthouse categories on launch shows that SEO, performance and technical quality were considered from the very beginning. This gives Join Talent a strong foundation for organic growth, particularly important for a service-led business banking on search visibility.

This project highlights the power of simplification. By stripping back unnecessary complexity in the layout, stronger elements such as animation and illustration were given room to work harder and more powerfully. This resulted in a more focused experience that communicates the brand and service offering more effectively.
