Your Problems. Our Solutions.

eCommerce Web Design

“What can we do about it?” Well, we’d start with the below:

Optimise your design for conversions
Optimise your design for conversions
Optimise your design for conversions

It should always be easy for your customers to make a purchase from your online store. This is true for most eCommerce websites, regardless of industry. The primary goal of your eCommerce website should be that it’s easily found and easy to purchase from. We’d look at your sales funnel and user journeys to ensure this process is seamless and this plays a big part in an eCommerce website’s conversion optimisation.

This is how you create an awesome user experience. Of course, there are other bells and whistles to include but fundamentally, it comes down to good design. A design which is tailored to your business and your eCommerce website's primary goals. At KIJO, we’d uncover your user personas and build an aesthetically appealing eCommerce website which speaks directly to your clients. Alongside a seamless browsing to checkout experience, we’d also curate a design system that ensures brand consistency, strengthening brand trust and awareness for your user.

To get more traffic, implement WordPress. It’s that simple.

For the past decade, we’ve used and continue to use WordPress across the hundreds of websites we’ve built for clients. That’s because it ranks well for SEO and has excellent features. It’s obviously not as simple as just installing WordPress and ranking number one on Google! That takes consistent work, month on month. But, WordPress is a great platform and one that provides the ultimate foundations to supercharge your growth.

Use performance-driven experts.

Fundamentally, a fast, well-performing eCommerce website is great for several reasons. Namely, your users will thank you and Google loves a snappy website. So, what do we do? We implement caching (a high-speed data storage layer that means the files powering your site can be accessed quickly) and we optimise your images so they’re low in size, high in quality. We get your Google Lighthouse score to 90+, we offer excellent hosting, and we use a reliable Content Delivery Network (CDN).

Headless eCommerce

Do you already have an existing eCommerce store but want to use WordPress for your marketing website? Perhaps you’d like to work with both Shopify and WordPress in tandem? In that case, there may be some advantages to using Headless eCommerce…

Greater Flexibility & Customisation
Improved SEO
A Tailored International Experience
Speed
Consistent, Multi-Channel Experience
More Scalable
Greater Flexibility & Customisation

With a headless eCommerce set up, the “front-end” of your website (the side your user sees) and the “back-end” (the part that manages the database and transactions) are detached which means you can build a more personalised, engaging user experience without typical back-end restrictions.

Improved SEO

Shopify alone can come with its SEO restrictions. By utilising a headless eCommerce model, these restrictions can easily be overcome making this an attractive option for retailers operating in highly competitive markets.

A Tailored International Experience

Shopify allows you to offer international targeting using their market feature, meaning users can browse products available in their region and their currency. However, a headless option allows for this experience to be made more personal in terms of linguistics and unique regional content.

Speed

Speed can be a commonly reported issue with Shopify, particularly over time as their server fills up. The headless architecture can often remove this issue and result in fast loading times and a more seamless performance which is far more satisfying for your user.

Consistent, Multi-Channel Experience

Headless eCommerce websites typically provide a more consistent user experience across multiple interfaces like desktop sites, apps and smartwatches. This is a desirable factor when it comes to ensuring brand consistency, trust and experience.

More Scalable

Going headless means having a more efficient and easy platform for scaling. As your traffic grows, you can scale the back and front ends of your website independently without impacting performance.

Due to the increase in complexity, Headless eCommerce websites are difficult to implement without an expert, professional team. So, of course, this website architecture will cost a bit more due to the higher integration effort.

However, if you’re a business that needs different systems for different jobs, you already have a different system in place, or your brand with the resources to properly invest in upgrading your online presence, then going Headless is a no-brainer. Contact the KIJO team today to discuss your eCommerce strategy.

"I was really impressed with how well things ran on this project. The KIJO team was able to translate our ask into a reality with very little intervention from us, and it was basically perfect on the first round. I also appreciated how various members of the team offered us additional help/feedback outside of the scope of the project!"

Still Got Some Questions?

eCommerce Websites

If you’ve still got some questions, these are the most frequent ones we get.

How long does the full eCommerce website design and development process take?

The scope of a website can vary enormously. After a complimentary 30-minute consultation call with a member of the KIJO Partnerships team, we will be able to produce a proposal for your project that will include costs. As a starting point though, a budget under £10,000 would not be realistic for a website that is going to move your business forward.

Are there any on-going costs once my website is built?

All websites need to have a hosting agreement in place with a hosting company. KIJO offers managed Cloud hosting with a WordPress specialist hosting company. This means we can handle all your hosting requirements. Our hosting packages can be found via the following link: WordPress Hosting.

KIJO also offers WordPress maintenance packages. It is generally considered best practice for all WordPress websites to have a maintenance package in place. To view our WordPress maintenance packages please click on the following link: WordPress Maintenance

Can you advise me on how to gain users for my website?

Yes. This is what our KIJO Optimise service is designed for. KIJO Optimise offers monthly website enhancement using data-driven reports, prioritised roadmaps, and dedicated account management, ensuring your website it continuously optimised for search engines.

Do you have examples of eCommerce websites you have previously built?

Yes, we have a large portfolio of websites for you to look at. The best and easiest way to check out our recent websites portfolio is via the following link: https://kijo.co.uk/work
