So, your website is not resonating with your users. Your bounce rate is high, your conversions are low. But, why? KIJO’s UX experts can ensure your users find what they are looking for, have a great experience when on-site, and are more likely to convert.
WordPress UX Design
Is UX really that important?” Uh, it’s essential. UX literally dictates whether a website succeeds or feels. Without it, a website can feel convoluted and result in poor engagement.
If your user isn’t engaging with your site, you’ve got a problem. Why? Because they’re just going to leave. The competition is simply too fierce. So, if they’re having trouble finding what they need, can’t get something to function or are overwhelmed with content, that’s exactly what they’ll do. At KIJO, we design functional, workable yet engaging user interfaces and experiences to ensure the time a user spends on your site is increased, and the rate of which they leave decreases. The more time spent on your pages, the more likely they are to become a customer of yours.
Where do you want your user to go and what do you want them to do? These are the questions we ask of you so we can tailor these desired outcomes from your user. Without clear answers to these questions, a website can end up feeling bloated, frustrating and confusing which causes a user to close down the page. We’ll look at the structure of your navigation, hone in on user journey mapping, make sure there’s a visual differentiation between multiple user paths, ensure it’s quick to find information and implement clear signposting. We’ll ensure our suggested journeys work via non-bias user testing too.
Ensuring your user leaves remembering who you are and what you do is vital for securing conversions and building brand awareness. We’ll capture your brand’s tone of voice, make the benefits of your service/product stand out, position your value proposition appropriately and promote accessible language across your pages. We’ll then make sure this is working by using a 5-second user test where we ask non-bias users what the key messages are after they’ve viewed your page for 5 seconds.
If the structure of a page is convoluted, that’s exactly what a user will be too which negatively impacts brand trust and the likelihood of conversion. We’ll implement storytelling techniques and naturally lead your user through your page. We’ll cleverly input clear trust signals, heading structure, and make your benefits, features, and solutions to problems pop. We’ll ensure your user knows exactly why, what, how, who and where you are from your pages, fortifying brand awareness and user confidence.
A website needs to convert. If it’s not, that’s just bad business, isn’t it? We’ll look at your primary and secondary user calls to action (CTAs), making sure a user knows exactly what you want them to do and how they can do it. We’ll assess your conversion funnels, and ensure the checkout or enquiry experience is improved and secured, reducing clicks to get them where you want them to be. We’ll consider upselling techniques, enquiry methods and pop-ups, all tailored to keep your user in the flow of purchase.
Alongside getting your UX in tip top condition, we’ll purposefully position your brand to make sure your users trust you, remember you and return to you. We’ll look at your design system, brand messaging, typography, iconography, and other user interface components which provide consistency and a sense of brand reliability and a distinctive identity. This will set you apart from your competitors.
Without engaging interactions, a website can be underwhelming and ultimately unmemorable. User interfaces include elements like buttons, controls and interactive features; the things that make a website stand out. If they’re looking good but difficult to use though, this can cause users to close the window. We work with clients to design new interfaces or improve existing ones. We ensure they’re designed simply, are easy to use and function well as well as look impressive and stick in user’s minds.

If you’ve still got some questions, these are the most frequent ones we get.
At KIJO, we use Figma and After Effects (Motion). We work with Figma in particular because it’s cloud based and offers great collaboration features. It plays host to brilliant prototyping features too which enables the team to create realistic website prototypes in-situ. It then allows us to easily share these files with our clients.
A design system is essentially a set of rules and guidelines regarding all aspects of styling across a website. It breaks a website design (and all accompanying digital products) down into all the key, smaller elements. These elements include typography, button styles, UI elements, colour palettes, spacing rules and form inputs. This not only speeds up every stage of product development, but improves the customer experience by ensuring consistency, familiarity and accessibility at every user touchpoint.
We use a variety of testing methods depending on your website’s specific goals and aspirations. These include:
- Hotjar
- Lighthouse
- User
- Testing
- Surveys
- Analytics
