Specialist Web Development in Birmingham
Let’s be frank, building a website can be complicated sometimes, particularly if there are complex requirements. What makes it more frustrating is when you run into continuous problems whilst trying to develop it and make it work seamlessly. That’s where our web development team comes in…

“What sort of problems do you fix?” Here’s some common ones:
A Slow Website. This one can get technical but fundamentally a fast website is essential for several reasons. Your users will thank you; if your site isn’t fast, they’ll simply close the window and head to a competitor. Google likes a snappy website as well. The faster your site loads, the higher you’re likely to rank. In order to speed you up, we implement caching (a high-speed data storage layer that means the files powering your site can be accessed quickly) and we optimise your images so they’re low in size, high in quality. We get your Google Lighthouse score to 90+, we offer excellent hosting, and we use a reliable Content Delivery Network (CDN).
Lots of Plugins on a WordPress website can cause performance issues. Unfortunately, not all plugins are created equal; some are built poorly, and some can hog your site’s resources. In addition, if you’re utilising plugins from low quality developers these can slow your website down, pose a security risk or bring it down entirely. Sometimes, you simply need a bespoke WordPress plugin to do a job. That’s because it’s worth solving a specific problem cleanly and efficiently, rather than adopt a bloated plugin that’s built for the mass market.
Does your business have specific integrations? For instance a fulfilment system, a CRM, booking systems or event management? As a business grows, these integrations start to become integral. They can sometimes be the key to unlocking your businesses potential to scale. Our team has worked with a number of different organisations and in that time we have seen and implemented a diverse mix of integrations.
It might be that you have a few different requirements that need to come together. You might not know where to start or if it’s even possible. We can get to grips with your requirements and deliver it to you in a simplified manner. We’ll tell you the best way to tackle the problem.
Bespoke WordPress themes can help deliver on your site’s complex requirements. That’s because they require less code and therefore less bloat, which supports your site to perform well. Too much code is harder and more expensive to maintain and is notoriously more susceptible to bugs.
Without SEO, your site is less visible. Less visibility means low traffic or the wrong traffic, and in turn, this means a lower rate of leads and sales. We’ll ensure your on-site SEO in on point which sets a website up for conversion success.
3D and immersive experiences are a fantastic way to showcase your brand. They build brand awareness, captivate your users, keep them on your site for longer, and can showcase impressive physical premises such as a spa, hotel, event or distinct experience.
Creating a product builder allows your customers to build and customise your products. Without one, this may limit a user’s confidence in purchasing. At KIJO, we can also implement an augmented reality function allowing your user to see your product in the space they envision it; essentially enabling them to virtually try before they buy! This is an excellent option for bespoke products or brands that cater to specific client needs and demands.

If you’ve still got some questions, these are the most frequent ones we get.
The scope of a website can vary enormously. After a complimentary 30-minute consultation call with a member of the KIJO Partnerships team, we will be able to produce a proposal for your project that will include costs. As a starting point though, a budget under £10,000 would not be realistic for a website that is going to move your business forward.
We have perfected our process over the past 10 years to be as detailed and efficient as possible. The primary delay in any website project typically occurs when the materials and information KIJO needs to complete the project are delayed from the client’s side. If everything is provided on time, you can expect it to take between 8 to 12 weeks on average. This will change depending on the size and complexity of the project. Reach out to our team and we can provide you with a more detailed timeline.
All websites need to have a hosting agreement in place with a hosting company. KIJO offers managed Cloud hosting with a WordPress specialist hosting company. This means we can handle all your hosting requirements. Our hosting packages can be found via the following link: WordPress Hosting.
KIJO also offers WordPress maintenance packages. It is generally considered best practice for all WordPress websites to have a maintenance package in place. To view our WordPress maintenance packages please click on the following link: WordPress Maintenance
