How We Achieved a 90% Consultation Booking Success Rate for a Luxury Health Clinic in Harley Street, London

The Longevity Doctor is a new, premium longevity clinic located on Harley Street in London, offering exclusive diagnostic tests, consultations, and treatments for those seeking to optimise their health and longterm wellbeing. It is a sister brand of The Private Clinic.

The Longevity Doctor needed a sophisticated website that would establish its new brand identity, communicate its services clearly, and ensure an exceptional user experience. KIJO was brought in to develop a website that would reflect the clinic’s high-end service offering and engage potential clients from the moment they landed on the site. It was to be an elegant and user-centric website that would serve primarily as an informational hub for prospective clients. It also needed to be synergetic to its sister brands, whilst having its own look and feel.

The primary requirements for the website included:

  • Facilitating online bookings for consultations and diagnostic tests. The booking system needed to be integrated with Semble – a specialist healthcare business software – that The Private Clinic were already working with. This would ensure efficient management of bookings and client interactions across all brands.
  • Creating an interactive user journey that would engage visitors and encourage them to book appointments.
  • Establishing a refined brand identity that was consistent with the clinic’s positioning as a luxury service whilst distinguishing it from its sister brands.

Developing a Seamless Booking Integration

For the booking system, KIJO liaised and worked with Semble’s API team to fully understand the platform’s capabilities and limitations. We agreed on a strategy to direct users to the Semble booking platform. This meant we needed to optimise the Calls to Action (CTAs) and their placements throughout the site. These CTAs would encourage users to click through to Semble and book the services the clinic offered.

The booking CTAs were placed:

  • Prominently in the navigation bar for immediate access.
  • In the patient journey and pricing sections to encourage action at critical decision points.
  • At the base of every page to catch users who had not yet converted.

We also ensured that the language the CTAs used inspired action in the user. They were written by our copywriter to be direct, clear, and benefit-driven. For example, the one at the base of the page reads “Your Future Health Starts Here. Request Your Consultation.”

By focusing on optimising the CTAs and their placements, KIJO successfully streamlined the user journey and, in turn, aided maximum conversions.

Building a Unique yet Cohesive Brand Identity

The website needed to look and feel distinctive whilst still aligning with the branding of The Longevity Doctor’s sister brands. This meant striking a balance between familiarity and innovation alongside creating an identity that communicated luxury, professionalism, and trust.

The client provided existing brand guidelines for its sister brands, which KIJO used as a foundation to build the website’s identity. The challenge was to develop a design that complemented these brands but find one that was also unique to The Longevity Doctor.

KIJO refined the brand identity via:

  • Selecting an inspired colour palette: Royal blue and gold were chosen to convey luxury, professionalism, and trust. Alternative colour choices such as copper and coral were considered, but gold ultimately felt like a more sophisticated aesthetic.
  • Typography: The design system incorporated the Superior Title font for large headings, creating a bold statement, and Neue Haas Grotesk for smaller headings and body copy, ensuring legibility and clarity across the website.

The refined colour palette and typography choices created a distinctive, high-end look that successfully aligned with the clinic’s positioning whilst maintaining that all important uniqueness.

Creating a Dynamic User Experience

A static website would not be engaging enough for potential clients, especially given the premium nature of the clinic’s services. There was a need to incorporate elements that would make the site feel dynamic, aspirational, and engaging.

KIJO aimed to make the website more than just informational. To keep users engaged, KIJO integrated motion and interactivity throughout the site.

Key design elements included:

  • Entrance animations on the image grid to make the first impression dynamic and impactful.
  • Mouse-tilt effects that activated when users hovered over images, making the site feel more interactive.
  • Scrolling text highlights that emphasised key messaging, ensuring that important information captured the user’s attention as they scrolled.
  • A dynamic scrolling timeline for the patient journey section, allowing users to absorb information in a digestible way.
  • Subtle parallax effects across images to add depth, reinforcing the premium and polished feel of the website.

Incorporating interactive elements, such as animations and parallax effects, proved essential in keeping users engaged and guiding them towards key actions, like booking consultations. Interactivity always allows you to tell a brand’s story in a far more engaging and inviting way too. This felt particularly relevant and necessary to incorporate into the design for a luxury health clinic.

To deliver the project in the agreed timeframe, KIJO adopted a wireframe-first approach, focusing on building the basic structure of the website before finalising the design elements. This allowed for faster iterations and feedback, ensuring that the project moved smoothly and to its quick deadlines.

Additionally, KIJO integrated the website with Dot Digital, enabling the clinic’s current email subscriber list to automatically update with new newsletter sign-ups. Subscribers were automatically assigned to the appropriate audience segment, improving the clinic’s marketing capabilities and overall user experience of the entire brand – not just the website.

The Results

The final result was a polished, high-end website that successfully met the client’s needs and exceeded expectations. Key metrics from user testing and website performance included:

  • X consultations booked in the first month, showing the website’s strong ability to convert visitors into clients.
  • 90% of users successfully booked a consultation during user testing, validating the effectiveness of the CTA placement and overall user journey.
  • 85% of users resonated with the brand in user surveys, confirming that the website successfully conveyed the luxury, professionalism, and trust the clinic aimed to project.
