In this article, we delve into the importance of a Contact Us page and why it’s essential to include one on your website. We’ll talk about optimal Contact Us page design and whether or not you need a contact us form. We’ll also present to you some contact page examples our in-house website design professionals think are working really well on existing sites.
Contact information and a contact page is an essential part of a website for any business. By clearly displaying contact information on your site, it allows users to easily get in touch with your company. This will naturally increase your enquiries and leads which are more likely to result in actual business.
Contact information also improves trust and transparency between a business and its clients, and it also bolsters good customer service. There’s nothing more frustrating for a consumer than not being able to easily work out how to contact a company they need support or information from.
Good website design practice would include contact information, or at least a link to the Contact Us page, at the top and bottom of the website’s pages. Let’s take the KIJO website as an example.
We have an animated button in the top right corner which says “Talk to KIJO”. If a user clicks this, it takes them to the contact page. It also becomes a burger menu when you begin to scroll.
Then, at the bottom of each page we have a footer displaying all of our contact information. We’ve implemented this in our website design so that every user throughout their journey on our site, can easily reach out to us or find out how to.
An example of contact information would be a telephone number, an email address, a site address and, if you have them, your social media handles.
A Contact Us form is a web-based element, usually located on the Contact Us page, that can be filled in by any site user. When the form is completed and submitted, a message is sent to the site’s owner or dedicated contact/admin email inbox. This message will detail the contents and contact details of the sender.
Contact forms can be a great way of reducing spam emails to your email inbox. This is because they eliminate the need to display a contact email address, which if abused by spam or phishing emails, can clog up the enquiry inbox of a business. A clogged inbox can prevent actual leads and enquiries from getting through.
A Contact Us form should include a field for the sender’s name, the sender’s email address, and a field for them to enter their message. Some Contact Us forms also include a dropdown menu that categorises the message. Some also request a contact telephone number of the sender. A Contact Us form should also include a ‘Submit’ button, which sends the notification to the assigned inbox.
We asked our Website Service Leader, Liam Terry for Contact Us page design examples he really rated.
Cuberto is a UI/UX design agency based in the USA. Liam thinks that their Contact Us page features “an intuitive contact us form with predetermined radio buttons for each question. The Cuberto contact page design is bold and prominent. This, in turn, makes it the main focus of the page.”
REJOUICE is a global branding and digital design agency based in California, USA. Liam likes the contact feature across the whole REJOUICE site. “When you click on the Calls to Action (CTAs), you get a full black page pop-up with a huge email address in white writing and a playful statement: “don’t be shy.” It’s really simple, but very effective and tonally in keeping with the brand.”

Mimco Capital is an investment company based in Luxembourg. Liam likes that “when you click the Mimco Capital CTA “let’s talk.”, a split screen contact us page appears with the contact details of each site on the right, and a scrollable Contact Us form on the left. This really stands out with its use of the brand’s bold colours.”
The bottom line is, a Contact Us page needs to be visible, readable, accessible and creative. It should do this whilst capturing the tone of your business and be in line with the rest of your web pages.
